OCT Basics
For anyone unfamiliar with an Original Character Tournament, here's how it works -
After creating your character and submitting the application, the admins will pair contestants up against each other. Once you have your opponent for the round, go look at their character sheet and learn about their OC. You will then, before the round due date, present a short story (usually in comic form, though it can be written) in which your character competes against and is victorious over your opponent's character. Your opponent will also write a story about their character defeating yours.
Your goal, of course, is not to have the strongest character but to make the best story. The admins will judge, according to their own criteria, which story is the more compelling one. Once they choose a winner, that contestant's story will become "canon" and their character will go on to the next round.
Willibauld Tournament Basics
Each student that participates in this tournament has been selected as being among the best in their school of study. In the first rounds of the tournament, students within each school will be competing against each other to represent it for the final rounds. The individual competitions taking place are a mystery to the students until they walk into the competition area that day, but each challenge is tailored to utilize the specialties of the school involved.
In the final two rounds, the final four representatives of each school will battle each other in two more rounds of mystery competitions. These competitions will be more well-rounded in nature, and the winner may be able to win in different ways depending on their specialties.
The winner of the OCT will receive a short comic from KimBeee and SquirrellyFries showing the ceremony crowning their character as the winner.
